Feb. 11th, 2006 05:11 pmDidn't go out last night in the end - was almost getting excited about the idea, then my floor went and got un-excited about it, and almost didn't go, which made me revert to wanting to stay in. By the time they decided they were going to go it seemed pretty pointless for me to go.
Would've had to pay to get in, wouldn't have been able to drink (they were mainly going because they wanted to get drunk), and wouldn't have been staying for more than a few hours.

Had the parents up today, and we went househunting!
^_^ Saw two really nice ones!!
The first one had two rooms downstairs, one which would be converted into another bedroom, and a smallish kitchen which had a weird storage room we could knock through to, as well as a toilet, which we'd keep but put a proper door in. The bedrooms upstairs were a bit small, but we could put cupboards up on the walls in the box room, and all else you'd really need in there would be a bed (I quite like the idea of having it for myself now) - could put a communal desk in the living room (which is huge) and I could use that for any work. Bathroom was quite nice as well.
The second one was nicer, as it's owned by house-proud people, so they've put a lot of effort into it. The kitchen is incredible in that one - really long - as is the living room. Only problem with it is that it only has three bedrooms (all of which are bigger than the first house, and ready-to-live-in), and no second downstairs room we could convert. It would be really easy for us to put a wall in the living room though, and turn it into two rooms, so that's do-able as well.
Think at the moment we're going to try for the first house, and if we don't get that we'll put in for the second. But they're both really close to each other, and the uni, so either would be ideal. It's just that the first house is already occupant-less, and we'd be able to get started on that one sooner.
Still, we'll have to see how it goes.

Stopped back here briefly so I could check my post, as Lianne told me the porter's had been round looking for me - and I got a gorgeous bunch of flowers of Katri-o-na and Loll Loll! *huggles both to death*
Thanks you two, they're sooo purty!!! ^_^
(and making an empty coffee-mate jar look very glamorous...*blushes*)

Went shopping afterwards, and mum treated me to a book (only £3) and a beautiful handbag (from Fiorelli, but it was on sale - only £20!), which is a bit of a monster, but that's why I love it!
~*~*~*~
Got a floor party tonight, and I'm determined to go this time, so I'm just going to be dossing around in my room until then - will have to start my presentation homework tomorrow though, and make sure I'm up-to-date on everything else. :s
