First time I've been on in a few days.

On monday I fainted in the morning, when I came to I couldn't see or talk so I had to go to hospital.

Got out on tuesday though, and am all better.

Sorry that post was a bit abrupt, but my sister was staying and she'd just got back from the shower, so I had to cut it short.

Right, well on monday I needed to get up at 7:30 to hand my Economics homework in - ended up oversleeping (again) and not waking up until 8. Leapt out of bed, felt nauseous, sat down and rested my head on my desk. Woke up face-down on the floor, having fainted and fallen off the bed (I now have two lovely bruises on my right thigh).

Got up and managed to toddle off to find Steph and give her the task of handing in my homework. Then had to be helped back to my room because I wasn't walking very good, and I couldn't even get my key in my door.

She left me, after making sure I left my door on the latch. I txt'd my mum telling her I'd 'done the fainting thing again' (which was really hard, because I couldn't get my eyes to focus), and then she rang me. Told me to put my legs above my head, which I did, and that she'd ring back in a bit to see how I was.

Wasn't getting much better, and I'm not sure what I did after that, think I might have passed out again.

Woke up to find Steph back and this time she'd woken Lianne up and was asking Lianne to look after me while she went to lectures. Kind of faded in and out then, couldn't talk or swallow, and then Lianne and Steph got the porter's and they got the ambulance people, and then I threw up a few times...

Got in the ambulance. Threw up in the ambulance. Got to the hospital. Threw up in the hospital.

They finally injected me with something to stop me throwing up - purely because the woman was asking me what was wrong and was getting annoyed that I wouldn't stop throwing up long enough to answer. Which was a bit mean of her, but I was just glad to stop being sick!

Went out of it again, came to and my parents were there. Apparently I'd had a brain scan while I was out of it, but it came out fine.

In fact, they couldn't find anything wrong with me.

So they think I either fainted due to low blood pressure (reasonably common around my age, and something I should grow out of), or it could be a mild form of epilepsy. Either way they say there's things I can do to keep it from happening again, and they're sending me off to Leeds for more tests to rule out the epilepsy as soon as they can (read; about a month).

Unfortunately I'm not allowed to drive for six weeks, which means I have to cancel my driving test, so I'm a bit annoyed about that.

I was in the hospital overnight, and then katie came and stayed with me until today, and I've just seen her off on the train. Now I need to do my Politics work for tomorrow and post it on the VLE.

Meant to be taking it easy this week, so I'm not going to any of my lectures or seminars, but I said I'd still do the work for Politics even if I'm not there. Will also have to pick up my results for my Economics homeworks at some point - think I'll do that tomorrow though.

Keep getting headaches though, and my eyes are still a bit dodgy so I'm going to try not to go on the computer too much for a while, and hopefully they'll settle down.

It really wasn't that big a deal!

I've fainted in a similar way before - back home, before I came to uni, can't remember when though - and it just got passed off as getting up too quickly in the middle of the night. It's probably the same thing now, it's just that I was more disoriented this time, and they want to make absolutely sure it's nothing like epilepsy.

Other than a slight headache which comes and goes I'm feeling back to normal.

My only instructions are to take it easy and drink plenty of fluids - which I am, and I'm not going to be drinking any alcohol for a good while, just in case.

It only sounds like it was really bad, but I'd've probably been able to stay at the uni if I'd just stayed lying down, instead of trying to get up and hand my Economics in, and then I was trying to recover faster than my body wanted me to.

Nope, I'm not going home this weekend - I am going back next weekend though, because I've got a train ticket for then anyway, but as for work I'm only taking this week easy (i.e.not going to lectures and seminars). It'll be back to normal again next week, though I think I'll try to delegate more responsibility this time and not rush about as much.

Please don't worry too much about me, it's not like I've become anorexic and can't look after myself or anything like that - this just looks like one of those one-off things, so hopefully *touches wood* it won't happen again.

^_^ Finished Politics and it's been posted!
