May. 18th, 2006 11:01 pmI got really drunk last night - it has literally taken me all day to get over my hangover, whereas normally I manage to sleep through them.
Steph, Lianne and me cooked dinner last night - Steph had owed me dinner from when I let her share my pasta bake with me, and given how big it was going to be, she said Lianne could share it as well. So then we made it together! Toad in the hole, with carrots and beans, and Lianne's gravy. Was reeeaally good!^_^
Then we watched the football and drank in preparation for going out - three bottles of beer, one can of beer (swapped my week+ old fake-lambrini for it with Steve - he knew how old it was, yet was still nice enough to swap with me!), the bottom of Steph's bottle of rose wine, and then half of Steph's bottle of red wine.
I'd already got ready before the football, so was good to go when it finished. We got taxi's in - me, Steph, Jo, Steve, and I think Chloe as well.
Went to Rumours first, and got a double vodka and lemonade. Jo challenged me to down it, with Steve egging on. And I beat Jo! Which really seemed to upset him, so he asked what I'd been drinking, got one himself and re-challenged me. He won that one, but only just.
Then we got over to Ziggy's, danced, drank a VK, bumped into other people we knew - got joined up by Lianne again.
Can't remember everything that happened in there, but I do know I was very "floppy" by then - i.e. kept falling all over the place and had to be held up by...everyone.
Yani, lil' Steph and Laura came at some point, and they were the ones who took me home, as the others had already gone. We found our way to a takeaway place, got chips, ordered a taxi. Realised we'd sent it to the wrong place, so then we had to go to Salt'n'Pepper, but we missed it anyway, so we got some more chips and ordered another one.
Dropped us off at Yani's, where lil' Steph decided to stay for the night, and Laura walked me home - then checked I could remember my code to get in.
I flopped into bed, woke up today at about 12 - foolishly got up, showered, had something to eat, drank lots of fluid. Then started feeling nauseous. So I went back to bed. Re-woke up again at 4, and was alright - about the usual feeling I get after I've been out but managed to sleep through my hangover, so I could tell I'd had a hangover, but it was mostly over.
Had some cereal, drank more fluids. Then went with Steph and Lianne to meet Yani, lil' Steph, Laura and Pranja up, as was going out for a meal with them.
Gemma and Kirsty also came along, and we went to a nice mexican restaurant/bar thing.
I got vegetarian chimichangas, which were delicious. And then I had some of Gemma's salad thing as well, because she wasn't feeling well and couldn't finish it. It was a bit overpriced, but I was willing to pay that amount on a one-off, and for something quite specialised like mexican.
Was supposed to be meeting a friend for drinks tonight, but she cancelled on me. So when Gemma asked if I wanted her ticket to go and see Oklahoma at the theatre, I said yes.
Just got back from that, and am in love with American cowboys again!
Feeling alright, but definitely going to have an early night tonight.
Oh, and I also got a call from Monsoon today - good timing as well, because it was just after I'd woken up again - and I now have an interview this coming tuesday. Eek!
It would be on the one day of the week I have lectures and seminars, wouldn't it?!
Luckily it's during my lectures, so I'm going to skip them, and as long as I remind her that I have a seminar, she said we'd be done in plenty of time for it.
Need to get my homework done as soon as possible though, so I can go clothes shopping on monday and get some interview-clothes - left mine at home.
