Oct. 26th, 2006 06:40 pmI feel like such a slacker at the moment.
Sian and Bunny didn't come over y*day, which I've already mentioned, and the others (Steph and Lianne) went out, while Jess and Simon stayed in Jess' room and did coupley things...so I was on my own, in my room, all night, again. woe is me
Ended up doing most of my Japanese homework and then going to bed, so I guess it was a kinda productive evening.
Slept in today because my seminar had been cancelled. Finally got up about 10, and went to Steph's room, where we (me, Steph and Lianne) watched Ally McBeal until 1. Then got a shower, dressed, etc.
Went to co-op about 2 to buy some lunch-type things, so I ended up being late for meeting Yani and playing Badminton, which meant we ended up playing only one game before Yani had to head home.
Badminton was better this time though - I managed to hit the shuttle a bit more than before, so I've already improved to my mind! I like the set up they've got, using wooden clips to decide who plays, and on which court. But the two boys we ended up playing against took the game a tad too seriously - they weren't really that much better than us, but they were playing it like they meant it. So they didn't really say anything, and one of them in particular seemed vaguely disapproving of us, which was...interesting.
I still didn't work up a sweat, but I think it will continue to get better each time I go, so hopefully we'll get there earlier next time (my fault), and be able to play more.^^
Am going out tonight!!
Yani and co are doing a weird thing on the "Eye of York", then they're getting tickets for a barcrawl, followed by Toffs - for £2. I'm not going on the Eye with them, but they're going to get me a barcrawl ticket, and I'm meeting the in Montey's 'round 9:30ish.
I almost pulled out, because it's a shitty night again, and I'm dressed in my slob/workout clothes, and I had a nice mug of hot tea...so I was all set to just curl up and watch some jdrama, which I didn't get 'round to y*day (I'm saving my Goong).
Steph and Lianne are going to play poker 'round a friend's though, and Jess and Simon are going to Toffs...and there are only so many nights I can be lazy and stay in without feeling like a loser!
It would have been different if Steph and Lianne were staying in and we could Ally McBeal it...but we can't, so I've decided I'm going to go out, get tipsy, and have fun. *nods firmly*
Will probably sleep over at yani&co's. Could get the taxi to drop me off at the entrance to Tang Hall Lane I guess, but I'll probably want to stay with them instead. It's possible I could even hunt Jess and Simon down and get a taxi with them, given they're going to Toffs too, but the one time I saw them while they were out and drunk, they were v.coupley, so I don't want to intrude on them.
I need to leave her about 9, so I'm going to have to do my dinner quickly now (spaghetti), and then start getting ready. ^_^
I'm quite nervous really - it's been so long since I've been out properly. I've only been to Ziggy's in fresher's week, and then two house parties...
No idea what to wear!! 0.o
