Dec. 18th, 2007 06:19 pmWell I'm back from my first trip home already. I didn't like the first bit with dad, but that's just 'cause it was weird. :/
Other than that the trip was fine, though my journey back today was knackering. Got the edinburgh train and it was packed - so I stood up for a few stops, and then whenever we got to another stop after that I thought I was going to be booted out of my seat by whoever had reserved it. And I kept falling asleep. And I didn't have any lunch. And my water bottle was in my suitcase, so I had a pounding headache from dehydration the whole trip. Wasn't very good.
The bus from town was also ram-packed - lots of elderly people in the seats, and then the aisles full of school kids. And I had to stand up with them because of my suitcase. To be fair some bits of that weren't bad - a bit like a mini rollercoaster, so quite fun!
Was really nice to get in the house & have no-one here. ^_^
Steph did try to clean the house before she left - as far as I can see she did the kitchen counters, sink & fridge.
The bin must've been changed before she left, but it did have a bit of stuff in it already & stinks. Also, the kitchen floor was uber sticky & had muddy footprints all over it for some reason...
I'm glad she tried to clean it, but she's just not very good at it. So I've hoovered the kitchen, mopped it, and hoovered the hallway. Not going to do anymore today though - meant to be going 'round Yani & co's tonight at 8ish, but before then I need to do some plane tickets research (yup, we still haven't booked it!).
I'm going home again on monday, so I've basically come back this week to get my essays organised - i.e. what reading I'm going to do, and when I'm going to fit in the writing of them. Well, that and I'm working a shift at Hartley's this weekend, so I'm here for money too! :)
Will update again properly tomorrow I guess, but for now I need to go do some research. :p
